How she became a demon
Nezuko was turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, during the attack that wiped out most of her family. But unlike every other demon, she refused to devour humans. Her brother Tanjiro chooses to keep her alive and find a cure rather than slay her — and that choice drives the whole story.
What makes Nezuko unique
- ▹Sunlight immunity. Sunlight kills demons instantly — even Muzan fears it. Nezuko developed resistance to it, making her the "Chosen Demon" Muzan desperately wants.
