Who Is Khan Doorman in Murder Drones? Uzi's Dad and His Doors Explained
14 October 2026 · 4 min read · by OCpit
Khan Doorman is Uzi's father in Murder Drones, voiced by David J. Dixon. He built the hydraulic doors that keep the Worker Drone colony safe and leads its defence force, and his whole character is the gap between protecting everyone and protecting his daughter.
Who is Khan?
- ▹Voice: David J. Dixon.
- ▹Family: father of Uzi Doorman, partner of Nori.
- ▹Job: architect of the colony's hydraulic doors and leader of its defence force.
- ▹Defining trait: doors. He has staked everyone's survival on them.
The door: the Pilot
In the Pilot (29 October 2021) Khan is fortifying the bunker where the survivors hide. When Uzi comes back needing help, with N in tow, Khan refuses and shuts her out to protect the others. Uzi is heartbroken and banishes herself. It is the moment that sets up their whole relationship.
Khan is not a villain. He is a dad who chose the hundred people behind the door over the one in front of it, and has to live with it.
After the Pilot
In Heartbeat (18 November 2022) the Absolute Solver throws up holograms, including one of Khan being killed, and Uzi later goes back to him. In Mass Destruction (29 March 2024) Khan, Thad and Lizzy confront J after she destroys the Disassembly Drones' landing pods, and in Absolute End (23 August 2024) J turns on them until V arrives riding a Sentinel she has tamed.
Nori Doorman
Uzi's mother is Nori Doorman, voiced by Darcy Maguire, and she was one of the Absolute Solver's hosts. Her collars matter in episode 4, her sentient heart holds the patch that can exorcise the Solver in episode 7, and in episode 8 she tells Uzi the Solver can be stopped by destroying Cyn's heart. In the 2025 music video Fight Til' I'm Good Enough, N finally wins over both Khan and Nori.
Writing a Khan-style parent for your OC
- ▹A parent with a job that matters. Khan's doors keep everyone alive, so his choice is not selfish, just painful.
- ▹One scene that defines them. Every later conversation between Khan and Uzi is about that door.
- ▹A name that is a joke and a theme. "Doorman" is funny until it is not.
